Damn. That's what all three of my kids wanted for Christmas! I guess they'll just have to settle for the trusty ol' AR-15.

So, is the legislation silent on the Ingram Mac-10/11, as well as the excellent H&K MP5, MP40 and variants?

Seems anti-Semitic if it singles out Uzi.

Lmao, did anyone else read the first page of the actual bill?

The penalties?!? Hahaha.

First conviction: Fine of no more than 1k.

Second: Fine of no more than 5k.

Im laughing to keep from crying over the fact we pay these people's salaries. God they are so f'ing overpaid.

ETA: Oh ant btw, once the kid is 13... its cool you can give them an Uzi.

Item 2 of the PDF referenced giving (placing in their hand) a kid under 12 the weapon to shoot at a firing range. All I can think of is the instructor killed last year when a child lost control at a range and shot him in the head. Didn't happen in Louisiana. May have been in Vegas.

Now when the bill doesn't pass Democrats will claim that Republicans support giving these type weapons to children

Of course, you have to keep in mind this is the same legislator that graced us with the argument that "shall" doesn't mean "got to".

Shall vs Got To

By it's very nature, wouldn't "unlawfully" supplying an Uzi to a child already be against the law?
