Pizzagate is "fake news". They almost to a person use that same phrase. Who cares if the story is about aliens abducting cows, wouldn't somebody say it's a "preposterous story" or "false report".

Same with "Alt-Right". There were also several other instance after the debates that one or two phrases became repeated as if adopted from the API usage book.

No other professional group co-opts their industry cohorts work/opinions so casually. Why are media members so surprised their reputation sucks.

The episode on House of Cards where they throw out the catchphrase to the media and watch them run with it was fascinating

The amazing part is that many people deny that allegation.

Laziness. They just wait for the perfect "buzz" word to arise so they can all pounce and and hope it gets their point to stick.

Obama is much smarter than most of these fools in the media. When Obama had a speech talking about the dangers of "normalizing" Donald Trump, I knew then that the phrase "normalizing" was about to be repeated ad nauseum on main stream media for months to come.

The DNC issues a statement containing the word of the word of the day, and the brain dead media repeat it like parrots.

Remember gravitas?

Rush has been pointing this out, BTW, for 20 years or so.

Do you think that it might be because they don't have GRAVITAS?

Wikileaks exposed the collusion re MSM Progressive narratives. Listened to Cuomo on CNN this morn...they are freaking out at Trump's implication of illegals voting. And we all know why...because illegal registration is rampant and the very basis for Prog (illegal) immigration policy. If Trump stacks the Supreme Court and starts a real registration investigation...!!!

"Fake news" seems pretty straightforward and to the point. Why church it up? I really enjoyed reading an article about the group of teenagers over in Yugoslavia or somewhere who started a bunch of fake news websites during the election and would link their fake news stories about Trump and Hillary on to Facebook and ended up making all this cash from it. One group of Serbian teens shaping the minds of American idiots everywhere. And profiting. Made me feel dumb for not coming up with it myself.

This has been going on for a long time. AT LEAST 20 years. They all use the same words at the same time.

The first time I remember it(I wasn't paying attention before) was the word "gravitas" in reference to Bush picking Dick Cheney as VP.

Call it group think, collusion, or whatever you will, but the result is the same. The media is not news. It is a narrative pushing apparatus.

This. I've known over a dozen journalists in my life. They vary in degrees of intellect and demeanor. But all of them were lazy.

Bingo. Just like this Corps of Engineering thingy halting the pipeline. Anyone with a brain knows exactly where that directive came from.

They are given daily talking points from the DNC. FOX occasionally will do a compilation of them all saying the exact same thing.

Trump is 100% correct when he calls the the corrupt media.
