Both sides are guilty of this. Moderates too. I'm only 25, so I'm honestly just curious. Has it always been this way? Has everyone always been such a god damn hypocrite when it comes to politics?

So it's really just about preserving power of the ruling class. Got it. No one actually cares about any of the real issues.

Yes. And stupidity. The vast majority of the populace know nothing about civics, American government, or American politics. That stupidity is literally ruining everything

You can thank 3 generations of shitty education for this.

watch the Adams historical docu-drama.
HBO or netflix?

He was attacked in a scurrilous way by the opponents. Hamilton.

similar issues as these days. not ever really "resolved".

the big change is BIG business, and international companies.
'constitution did not take into account. now we have 5-4 decision allowing companies to buy Congress. "citizen's united". of course it has nothing to do with Citizens. its a misnomer. its the ruling that lets's the company with the most to gain from a given bill buy votes. if you are going to make 1 trillion over 10 years, what's a billion in TV air time for your primary contenders?

Politics has always bred hypocrisy. The politicians seem to have been more blatant and in-you-face about it for the last decade or so.

This is why Teddy Roosevelt was the greatest president in the history of the United States. He would be crying if he saw what we've done with citizens united. We need a return of the Progressive Party of 1912. Keep those bastards in check.

Read up on how Thomas Jefferson actually paid a guy to back stab John Adams in the press.

HUMANITY breeds hypocrisy.

I have my double standards. So do you. Anybody who says they don't is not only a hypocrite, but a liar as well.

This is not a change. This is how it has been since the united states of America started. All you have to do is follow the money, the central bank money. It is why our founding fathers did not allow a private bank to issue money and required money to be either physical or backed by physical.
