Has gender become so faux pas that people storm gender reveal parties with guns blazing?

I watched this montage video yesterday with kids reactions to their unborn siblings gender reveal.
It was hilarious how upset they got when learning they were gonna have a sibling of the opposite sex.
Kids are hilariously insensitive.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure gender is up to the child now. Biology has lost this one. Gender reveal parties are hateful and sexist.

Posted this on the OT:
This story is fishy as all hell.
Two hooded figures, dressed in all black storm the house, shoot a bunch of people with no motive and don't take anything?
11 people sitting on the couch watching TV during a gender reveal party?
And the pregnant girl, who looked to be really far along in the picture, miscarries and interviews in less than 24 hours after being hit in the leg? Unless she was hit in uterus, they could have delivered that baby and sent it to the NICU.
I'm willing to bet that this story changes significantly in the near future.

or family members fighting
or boyfriend pissed about an abortion
ETA: The shooting took place at 11:20 p.m. That's an odd time for a gender reveal party with a bunch of little kids.

At first I thought a gender reveal party was a liberal thing I didn't understand. Now I know it is not a liberal thing although I still do not understand it. Regardless, it is way screwed up to be shot attending it.

The same sort of people that shoot up birthday parties, second lines, Mother's Day gatherings....
Why do you think the nature of the party had anything to do with the violence? Post hoc ergo propter hoc?

Woman wasn't even pregnant
quote:
Colerain police say the woman who was the focus of the party, Cheyanne Willis, wasn't even pregnant at the time of the event despite, posting on Facebook that she was expecting a boy.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Colerain Police Chief Mark Denney says police don't have an explanation, only speculation, about why Willis claimed to be pregnant.
The Colerain Township 21-year-old woman was hosting the party to disclose the gender of her the baby she claimed to be pregnant with when the deadly shooting occurred July 8.

My first thought was a Rae Carruth situation.

Were they hoping for a sympathy-GoFundMe?
