Uh...a Republican representative shouted during an address YOU LIE! A conservative blogger shouted questions during a Rose Garden address.
Both of those acts are inexcusable, particularly the first. I hope you're not blaming Obama's leadership failures on those two instances, though.
Seriously you really think Obama is the antagonist here...seriously?
Being antagonized - and I suspect all Presidents are antagonized from time to time - shouldn't cause them to retaliate. Am I right? I mean, presidents have made concessions and compromises with their opposition all through our history. Not Obama. I can't think of a single important piece of legislation that has passed with bipartisan support under O's term.
I acknowledge that Republicans have done their best at times to obstruct the President's goals. But, as I've said, Obama has done nothing to make things better; to bridge the gap on their differences; to gain enough favor with Republicans to get the necessary votes to pass a bill; to make relations between the parties (and between Americans with differing ideals) better. He's made things worse.
Republican policies and directions got fricking blasted in the election and they still wont work with him
Have they not made concessions in recent weeks on taxes, while not even discussing the most important issue of spending cuts?
its way past time for Obama to grow a set and brow beat the bull shite party of No, the do-little Congress down
He's been trying this method, and it hasn't been working. Dems no longer have a supermajority. Obama MUST satisfy enough House Republicans to pass a bill. If he doesn't, and if he continues to antagonize and condescend and give these public pep rallies, he'll never get anything done. At least, not in the next two years.
