Two leading members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are asking the FBI and the Justice Department to hand over any warrant applications related to possible wiretaps of Donald Trump and his team after the president accused his predecessor of illegally tracking his conversations.
Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), the top Republican and Democrat on the Judiciary Committee’s crime and terrorism panel, wrote Wednesday to FBI Director James B. Comey and acting deputy attorney general Dana Boente asking for “copies of any warrant applications and court orders — redacted as necessary . . . related to wiretaps of President Trump, the Trump Campaign, or Trump Tower.”
Boente was recently put in charge of such issues at the Justice Department after Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from matters pertaining to the Trump campaign.

They wouldn't ask for them unless they knew all record of them had already been destroyed

They already know this warrant was denied and Obama admin got around that by requesting a warrant for russian associates So they wiretapped to listen to associates knowing the could listen to anyone cause they may be associates
There is nothing with Trump's name on it.

The 1st warrant was denied on grounds Trump was a target. They didn't include Trump in 2nd warrant. Tic Toc

On this issue there is not one single "Trump person" involved. Not one.
That's why Trump sent it to Congress.

That would not be able to surveil American citizens if that's the method they used

Dana Boente was removed from the role of potential acting Attorney General by Obama, but was reinstated by Trump on February 10th

More likely the DOJ, like the majority of federal agencies, is encrusted with career bureaucrats beholding to the party most likely to keep them churning along.
They did support and contribute to the clinton campaign in ridiculous numbers.
If I were Trump I wouldn't trust anyone at Justice.

It might as well be Schumer as much as Graham. Fancy Boy is as anti-Trump as it gets.
