Uhhh, they don’t flip every 12,000 years…more like 300,000 years. Humans have not been on Earth for a flip. Also, it’s not just electronics that will be impacted….huge potential risk for half the world to get cancer as well

Interesting thing that most people don't know is that the magnetic poles are never in the same location from year to year and have moved upwards to100-150 miles over certain decades. Here is your "climate change". This and the sun and volcanoes have more to do with dramatic changes over periods of time than anything else.

This would cause massive wars and extermination of population wholesale...
There is no print media ready to go to shine the light on anyone...few cameras work outside of digital.
This would give any government the ability to do whatever they wanted...all the military equipment is hardened from EMP. Electronic disruption doesn't affect their comms devices for short range.
It would make every country with a decent military absolute dictators with unchecked ability to wield power.
There is no more checking in on the masses to protect anyone. Saddle up...build community policies for the shutdown, because it could come.

Living without technology associated with satellites isn't the same thing as living through an asteroid. Humans had no concept of life with satellites two generations ago.

I don’t believe the poles can flip. The core would have to stop and restart in the opposite direction, the amount of energy required to do that is not available.

Wrong. The rotation of the earth does not get reversed when the earth’s magnetic poles are reversed. You are comparing apples to oranges.

I’ve been saying for a while we are headed for a magnetic excursion or magnetic pole flip. We are absolutely due. We’ve lost 15% of our magnetic field in just the last 30 years, 20% in the last 100. We are losing it faster and faster. Probably has a lot to do with the very mild warming

Magnetic excursions happen much more frequently . Not the same as a flip
