The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) married a 9yo girl.
He also married his first cousin.
Nothing he did was sinful or wrong. So all Muslims are encouraged to emulate his life as closely as possible. That seems to be working out for them.

Typically to other people around the same age, not old men.

of the long list of issues to complain about surrounding islam, marriage age is very, very far down of things to worry about
