All kinds of reports on social media tonight of pumps running dry across large parts of Texas. Frisco, McKinney, Parts of Ft Worth, etc...

I have first-hand reports from our family that live in Greenville Tx (50 miles NW of Dallas) of stations being out of gas.

What are you guys hearing?

There are stations out all over DFW. And it will be worse tomorrow. Big run on gas today. Coming home at around 9pm and every station I passed here in Rockwall had crazy lines.

Just came across this article about a major pipeline that moves gasoline to the NY area shutting down.

https://money.cnn.com/2017/08/30/investing/colonial-pipeline-harvey-gas-lousiana-texas/index.html

The Colonial Pipeline, which carries huge amounts of gasoline and other fuel between Houston and the East Coast, is shutting down after Harvey forced the closure of refineries and some of the pipeline's own facilities.

The pipeline has two main lines that together transport more than 100 million gallons of gasoline, heating oil and aviation fuel as far as the New York harbor each day.

People shouldn't be surprised when the perfect storm impacts our largest refining area. Im not hearing major damage to the plants so it should rebound shortly.

I'm surprised it hasn't been a bigger issue.

Just went to QT in Frisco which had regular unleaded at 4:30 this morning. I filled up my wife's car and daughter's car. Hoping things will get back to normal in 4-5 days before we need to get more gas.

Many stations around me were out of gas.

I knew a shortage was going to probably happen for a week or so.

This wouldn't happen if stores were allowed to raise the price of gas as needed. $10, $20 per gallon.

But y'all keep supporting price gouging laws.

Of course they are. This is price ceilings at work. They always result in shortages.

The left is anti pipeline, let them walk or drive on solar power.

Filled up the Shell at Knox & 75 near Uptown this morning around 7:30 am. No line & $2.53 gallon. I then went about my life.

Sounds like some bullshite. Everywhere else is $2.30-$2.50 but all stations are packed out.
