Gainesville, FL Folds to the Pressure - Everyone is Losing it

Work began Sunday to remove the statue in downtown Gainesville, known as "Old Joe." The Gainesville Sun reported it would be moved from outside the Alachua County Administrative Building Monday.
The statue is being returned to the local chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, which erected the bronze statue in 1904.
County officials said they did not know where the statue would be going.
Meanwhile, authorities say someone splashed red paint around a Confederate memorial park in Hillsborough County.
Hillsborough County sheriff's officials said in a news release that a passer-by called 911 after seeing that paint had been tossed on and around the memorial's columns and derogatory comments were scrawled in the paint. The site is on private property near Tampa on Florida's west coast.

At this point, some city should really throw a wrinkle into the story and announce they are erecting a new confederate statue just to see what happens.

Shreveport formed a commission to come up with a recommendation about what to do about our confederate monument. Surprisingly, they recommended it stay and that if anyone wanted to erect a statue to honor the civil rights movement near it, it should be done.
That seems way to logical for our leaders. I expect the plan to be scrapped and the commission to be disbanded shortly.

Once the statues everywhere are taken down, then they will want something else. It will never stop. The pressure makes people cave, and they know this. Therefore this will continue in order to get the hand outs or perks wanted.

You can take a short 35 minute ride from gainesville to baker county, fl. They have a fricking kkk mural in the lobby of their courthouse

No surprise. Gainesville has become super cucked. Go to any brewery here now and you'll find your fair share of buzz cut women and long haired 50 year old men with Steve jobs glasses and Jesus sandals.
