He also said none of his staff talked to any Russians, amongst other, contradictory, word salad psycho babble.

He screwed up firing Flynn. Should have waited

I don't even see the problem if Trump was briefed on the fact that Flynn had communications. It was Flynn's lying that did him in.

How many times do I have to answer this question? Russia is a ruse. I have nothing to do with Russia. I haven’t made a phone call to Russia in years, I don’t speak to people in Russia — not that I wouldn’t, I just have nobody to speak to … I have nothing to do with Russia. To the best of my knowledge, no person that I deal with does.
And yet he said this in the presser today.

The question was specified to his campaign I thought when he responded with that.

So when was Flynn's account of the discussion presented to Pence and Trump?

So he was briefed by Flynn and a third party on the same date?
Your link doesn't say that.

Trump was briefed on the 26th. Pence just found out last week.

What I'm saying, is in order to discover a lie, you must here two different versions of the same story.
So the scenarios are:
Trump was briefed by the FBI or whoever on the discussion on 1/26. He was then told the lie by Flynn later.
He was lied to by Flynn on 1/26 and briefed with the truth after.
He was briefed on 1/26, Pence was lied to by Flynn on some date, and Trump was made aware of the different story at a later date.
Probably a few more variations, but I assume you get the point. Bottom line, if Trump only knew one piece on 1/26, you really need to get dates of the other events to figure out the timeline, no?
Feel free to post the timeline as you understand it.

1/12 Washington Post columnist David Ignatius first reports that Flynn had conversations with Russian official Kislyak.
1/13 Trump press aide Sean Spicer acknowledges one call between Flynn and Kislyak but says it was for “logistical information.”
1/22 Flynn is sworn in as national security adviser, a position that does not require Senate confirmation.
1/26 Acting Attorney General Sally Yates informs the White House counsel that Flynn lied about the nature of his calls with Kislyak and is vulnerable to blackmail. As was verified today, this is also the Day Trump is told the full extent of the contacts.
2/08 Flynn denies discussing sanctions with Russian officials in an interview with The Washington Post. A spokesman for Flynn later tries to amend Flynn’s comments, saying Flynn had “no recollection” of discussing sanctions.
2/09 Trump informs Pence of Flynn's act of deception.
2/10 Trump says he’s not aware of the Post report that Flynn may have discussed sanctions but will look into it. (lie)
2/13 White House adviser Kellyanne Conway tells MSNBC that Trump has “full confidence” in Flynn. Hours later, Flynn resigns, saying he had “inadvertently briefed the Vice President-Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian ambassador.”
2/14 Spicer says Trump asked Flynn to resign because of an “erosion of trust.”
2/15 The New York Times reports that telephone records and intercepted calls show that "members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election."
2/16 President Donald Trump defended his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, during a fiery and wide-ranging news conference Thursday afternoon, saying the retired general "did nothing wrong" and blasting the media for their reporting on the scandal. Flynn "was doing his job. He was calling countries," Trump said of Flynn's conversation with Russia's ambassador to the U.S., Sergei Kislyak. "I didn't direct him, but I would have directed him if he didn't do it," Trump said.

When did Flynn lie to Pence? When did Trump discover the lie?
A lot of that stuff is irrelevant. You're using a lot of media conjecture in place of the relevant and key pieces.
I'm going to bed, so I'll just spoil the ending. We don't know the dates of any of the key events. The reports of "Trump withheld information for X days/weeks" is based on press info, not when the actual events happened.
Also, could you have at least tried to hide the copy/paste of "your" understanding of the timeline?
Eta
Also of note, you don't include when Trump asked for the resignation. You think that's important?

Of course he was. This whole administration are liars and it's been less than a month. Nothing will change with them. And bigger lies will continue to roll out and slowly be exposed to the public.
But I just can't figure out why the press are just so darn mean to trump. Lmao
