She was excellent on CNBC before joining FBN. Very bright lady. Harvard/Rhodes Scholar/Oxford type. Yet most of her better pieces involved engaging ideologically antithetical or opposed experts with one another. She would take a background role as a moderator rather than constantly inserting herself into the discussion. A sort of Larry Kudlow without the bombast.
Melissa Lee at CNBC, a similarly bright reporter, emulated Buttner in many ways as host of Fast Money.
