It's hysterical how obsessed Americans are with the price of gasoline.

Hey mate, SW must be sending telepathic messages. I just went to ask for his reinstatement and someone else had just done so.

No kidding. All the regulars on here persistently brag about how diligent and fastidious they are with their lives and finances vs the other half. But let their gas bill go up by $1000/year, and all of a sudden their on the verge.

It’s hysterical how you liberals don’t understand that higher gas prices affect more than just the cost to fill up at the gas station, higher gas prices have an effect on the entire economy.

I had this argument with a dumb arse Biden voter this morning.

Diesel was $5.19 this morning. I asked the dumb arse. How does all the goods we consume make it to the retail stores? Groceries, household items, virtually everything.
He just responded with a blank stare, and walked away.

Sadly, this is only the beginning of the inexorable spike to heretofore unheard of gas prices. I'm talking double digit gas on the West Coast - and soon, probably this early Summer.

There will be a push to release oil from the SPR, but that is a one shot deal. With nothing in the near term, they will want to save that move for September or October if they can.

But, we don't nearly have 6 months before this whole thing spins wildly out of control. Gas lines. Gas theft. That stuff is already here and it will go through the roof as this particular crisis continues.
