So you believe the answer to America's racial inner city debacle are more John Lewis type politicians?
Maybe we should clone John Lewis and send them to Chicago.

so we like black panthers now?

I like the original vision of the Black Panthers and Black Power as a political movement.

As I understand them, here are the original tenets of Black Power: 1) organize and work for the eradication of de jure racial discrimination; 2)organize and work for the immediate relief of hunger and shelter issues in the Black Community -- call for assistance from Government in this area; 3) promote pride in constructive achievements of Black People through education and social awareness; 4) promote self-sufficiency and resist DEPENDENCY of Black People on anything but their own ability to achieve; 5) challenge de facto racism and work to dispel the ignorance that supports de facto racism; 6) protect Black People from violence from the hands of the KKK, Government, or anybody who tries to physically attack Black People. The Black Panthers were the armed "Department of Defense" of the Black Power movement, and their mission was purely self-defense.

Most important agenda item: organize and work to make life in the Black Community as great as possible, to include getting drug dealers and gangs off of the streets.

So, yes, I personally support the original agenda of Black Power. I can assure you that the notion of Black Power is the opposite of what the Congressional Black Cuck-Us stands for today, because the Cuck-Us today stands for TOTAL dependence of Black People on the handful of dimes offered by their former slave-master Democrats in exchange for UNQUESTIONING and total political support for Democrat Leftist politicians.

The Black Cuck-Us and John Lewis stand for this continued subjugation of Black People on the "political plantation" built for them by this Leftist Democrat Party.

Finally, it goes without saying that the original mission of the Black Panthers was subverted by Huey Newton and others who led the group down a suicidal path of violent criminality and violent revolution.

I can honestly say I am quite a bit more moderate then most that post on the politics board and I do not disagree with anything that man said in the interview.

If anything the Liberals in America are actually more conservative (resistant to change) then the GOP. Unless it increases the power of the government they are unwilling to change anything... even if it is a flat out failure that is making people's lives worse.

I think they are holding back the African American community, particularly the poor, in the interest of holding onto their own political power. I don't disagree with anything that Mr. Weaver said here.
