For those on the Left lamenting Trump's twitter responses

For far too long those on the Left with a public mouthpiece have controlled the narrative in the media. From Hollywood to visual news media to print to websites the Left has vilified, made fun of, and chastised those that do not fit their narrative.
The right, afraid to counterattack those on the Left, had sat idlely by and said and or done nothing to counter punch and call a spade a spade.
Trump is simply turning the tables and its driving those on the Left insane. He is saying and has a pulipit that apparently is getting to you all with every response to your Leftists slant to everything.
So the real melt is not Trump responding; it's you on the Left realizing that he is not afraid to call out your bullshite and sit quietly in the corner while you go unfettered and unfiltered in your opinions.

I agree. On the surface it seems a little childish and thin skinned. But for now, I can dig it for the reasons you stated.
If you or I (or even some congressman) tweeted that de niro and Streep can go frick themselves it would mean literally nothing. People are listening to trump. Call out the hateful left

Streep doesn't recognize good acting when she sees it.
Trump was acting the part of the handicapped reporter not mocking him.
Streep should hire Trump to teach her how to act better because her performance last night as an outraged caring human being was deplorable.
At least Trump is real.

I don't care about him bashing some actress. It's dumb and childish but ultimately harmless.
I do worry about him inadvertently creating an international incident with North Korea or untintended economic consequences of his rhetoric regarding various companies though.

Nobody on the left is lamenting it. It's pretty funny and a tick that can be mined for comedic potential or used by people that want to take advantage of his ability to be distracted.
But it's pretty stupid that he's bothering to waste the time. Nobody is "turning the tables" on Meryl Streep because people either agree, disagree or don't give a damn. Trump giving her an extra platform of millions didn't change that.
If it wasn't for the Poliboard (and, by extension, Trump) keeping me updated, I wouldn't have had the first clue what she said last night. I still don't care that she said it.

My only issue is that Trump never responds with an intelligent, informed statement. He just calls them a failure.
If anyone compliments him then Trump says that they are the greatest person ever. If a person criticizes him then he calls them a failure, even if that person is extremely successful. That is just ignorance. Obviously Streep is a very successful actress. Instead of discussing her political beliefs he just uses the same strategy that a 3rd grader uses on the playground
