No offense, but if that is your marginal Republican voter, you live in a left of center state. Similar to AZ. Your description is reeking of California Republican, whom are libs that like low tax rates.

Trump underperformed Johnny Isakson, who was in poor health, by 77,000 votes in the big 4 counties (Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett).
To this day, Isakson should never have run in 2016 after he got sick.

Start with electing a governor that is capable and willing to clean up the corrupt Atlanta political machine like DeSantis did in South Florida. That would be a good start.

The problem with that is these people voted for more conservative candidates than Trump. Brian Kemp has never attacked pro-life Republicans, never celebrated when Democrats won Senate seats, and has a budget surplus and GA has no debt. Meanwhile, Trump attacked pro-life Republicans, celebrated when Michael Bennet won re-election, and added $8 Trillion to the debt and contributed to inflation via free COVID money.

That's not the issue. The issue is that Atlanta Independents, many of whom are Republican leaning, hate Trump and his hand-picked candidates. That's why Trump underperformed congressional Republicans in the suburban counties and why every state-wide Republican in 2022 won except for Walker.

Stop running out the likes of Hershel Walker, and continue finding ways to legally suppress voter participation.
I'll add that the disconnect between the republican party and young voters in GA is massive. Additionally, and somewhat related to that, is the abortion law. That law alone will keep GA blue in 2024.

100% this.

Georgia isn't a blue state. It's a right-of-center state that hates Trump and his hand-picked candidates. Last year, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis had an hour-long segment where they took calls from Georgia voters and they got call after call from people who said they know several people who voted for every Republican on the ballot in 2022 except Walker. These people are Republicans but didn't like that Walker was Trump's boy and are sick of Trump's schtick. Walker was the only state-wide Republican who lost in 2022. In 2020 there were over 150k people who voted for at least 1 Republican on the ballot but not Trump, and after Trump injected himself into the runoff and surrounding himself with the Kraken BS, Independents who typically vote Republican stayed home or voted for Warnock and Ossoff, as they essentially saw Trump being on the ballot.
And I'll say it one more time...if Georgia is a blue state, then why the frick wasn't the whale elected governor?

You are wasting time with these morons they think everyone should like Trump and if they don't then they are automatically a soy homosexual trans queer lib leftist democrat. Oh, and did you know that Trump got more votes that any sitting US President? Like that even matters when your opponent crushes you in the electoral college.

In Georgia, there is a lot of trickery and trickery in and around Atlanta. It’s that simple.
It’s not as “blue” as outsiders think.

A blue city that put them at one intersection in the center of it's main "gay" neighborhood? I'm sure if Atlanta removed them tomorrow that the state would vote 80% Trump in November.

You fricks act like GA has always voted red until trump came along.
Shut the frick up. perdue was your first conservative governor in forever.

Fun fact about Fulton County. There were 125,585 more votes cast in 2020 than in 2012 and Trump only received 123 more votes in the county than Romney did. There were over 40,000 more votes cast in 2016 than in 2012 and Romney received over 19,000 more votes than Trump did. And Romney's opponent was an African American who wasn't cognitively impaired (Biden) or the most hated Democrat in history (Hillary). That's fricking pathetic.

Quite the opposite, I've lived here for over 30 years and Dems running the state was a given until 2002 (plus Perdue is a former Dem that switched parties). Georgia has never consistently been a ruby red state over its history, and that was largely in presidential elections (Carter and Clinton notwithstanding).
It could also be said that George Busbee, Joe Frank Harris, and Zell Miller were fairly conservative governors (Roy Barnes not as much).

Definitely untrue, the reason why Walker lost is because people are tired of the Johnny Isaacson’s and Saxby Chambliss’ of the World who do absolutely nothing except follow lockstep with the establishment
