For the first time in my lifetime, I feel like a part of the process

I'm 47 and this is the first election where I feel like my vote and efforts actually helped change history.

This wasn't the way it was supposed to go. We were supposed to just sit back and let the establishment chose another President for us like always.

The people pushed back and we pushed back BIGLY. We didn't want another Bush or Clinton. We didn't want another uniparty candidate like Kasich.

We wanted someone with the courage to say what we're thinking without fear of losing political points with some minute part of the voting block.

The only group we wanted to be placed in was hard working, God fearing, country loving Americans.

Thank you fellow patriots for fighting back with me.

God Bless you all.

God Bless this country.

God Bless President Donald J Trump.

Alabama went red during the civil rights movement. Your vote has never "counted", jackass

I can absolutely understand where you're coming from in this post. I campaigned for Ron Paul and he felt like something truly different. I can only imagine how I would have felt if he overcame all the similar opposition Trump got through and won.

I don't particularly care for Donald Trump, but his election did really reaffirm my belief in our electoral process. I was starting to get extremely cynical.

you assume I voted for Hillary, jackass?

And, no. I don't assume you live in Alabama. It doesn't really matter where you live down here; it's pretty much the same story.

Oh, and that feeling you have. it's false. One man will not change your life of bad decisions

Ohh I hope he does well. I was solidly behind that first list of things he published after the primary. I generally just hate Obamaphone Trumpkins and so enjoy trolling them.

Well its sad you've gone your whole life feeling disconnected from the political process and im glad that's changed

Be careful with that sort of thinking. Plenty of good hard-working Americans voted for and against Trump. Plenty of people liked Kasich, Bernie, and Hillary. Your candidate won but that doesn't mean Trump's supporters constitute "The people" and that people who dislike him don't.

are you trying to perceive tone? because you'd be wrong. I have NO problem with President Trump being president, as he was elected. I remain hopeful.

What I do have an issue with and find amusing is the amount of people who think Trump being president will somehow change their life or something. To me, that just shouts loudly that you're a complete frick up relying on someone else being elected to feel achievement. Then, in 4 to 8 years, you're still the same miserable sack of shite blaming someone else for your problems.

You have always been part of the process. Just because what you wanted didn't win in the past doesn't mean you weren't part of the process

No, I'm talking about you responding to someone who posted how he felt about this election and his vote and you calling him a jackass for no reason whatsoever, that's why i called you a bitch, it was a bitch move.

you can call me what you want. I just want to see less stupid people. become informed and then express your feelings.

I feel like a nun teaching a room full of young teenage girls.

maybe but I don't understand the excitement over a president being elected. It is important, yes. But, to get so emotional about it like it's life-changing is irresponsible.
