Flashback 2008: Obama on Capital Gains Taxes

Since tax reform talk is in the air, I wanted to rehash this old clip from one of the 2008 democratic debates between Obama and Hillary where a question about capital gains tax "reform" was asked.
LINK
I don't know why, but this clip still shocks me. It was so obvious how radical this guy was. It was presented right in front of us and we didn't care.
Barry was presented with cold hard economic facts and he responds with class-warfare driven rhetoric.
He would rather the government take in less money than to let the "rich" go unpunished from "gaming the system".
Unreal.

I remember that well which was why I voted for HRC in the 2008 primaries. I knew what Obama was. Scary.
Sad part is, in 2016 HRC thought this approach was the correct one. She tried to out-Obama Obama, and it cost her this election. She, along with the Prog Filth in the media, didn't take the hint when the Dems lost 1100+ seats on all levels of govt.
Fortunately many Republicans are on their team, so they won't lose too much ground.

As someone who has supported many from this party, it is a sad, sad truth.
One side flat out says they're for Marxism (or at best crony capitalism fueled by wrongheaded progressive goals), and it is. The other side just says they're against it, but they really are for it.
False choice presented to protect the ruling, "government" class.

The even scarier thing is, the guy who actually should have won the dem primary this past cycle is actually way left of him.

Yeah, I referred to that clip a few days ago here. It was a shocking admission, that he would allow Ideological rigidity to take precedence over result-oriented math. He would actually prefer the worse economic result so that he didn't have to experience cognitive dissonance that burst his Prog bubble.

It was all right there for anyone to see. Obama just doesn't like when certain kinds of people get rich.

True. We all like to laugh at the Berniebros, but he has a real, passionate coalition. If Hillary doesn't run he could have easily won the democratic nomination.
