Wow, a speech on a college campus is now on the same level as say a hurricane or any other natural disaster.

There will be violence there so as long as the extra police and National Guard allow free speech and arrest anyone breaking the law this is smart.

Smart move.
There is a side that is encouraged to be violent and has been rewarded for it. Even had the backing of a representative from his state, if memory serves.
