It is thoughts like these that really make me wonder what is wrong with people.
Horowitz is an Inspector General. His job is/was not to find any grand conspiracies. His job is to examine the Department of Justice, and its role. He is commanded by his mission to conduct his investigations with blinders on, and to have laser focus on the department to which he is tasked with reviewing.
This does NOT include any intelligence agencies, which is where this scheme was born.
Horowitz could not bring the ultimate hammer down on the FBI or other factions of the Justice Department because he did NOT have access to, or the ability to investigate the background information provided by the intelligence community, nor the mechanisms by which it was gathered.
I just cannot understand how people do not see this. It has to be because you just do not understand how these types of investigations are initiated.
Please, with all due respect, educate yourselves.

There were some on this board who claimed that the IG would uncover the rot and expose the truth to the world.
