Obama gave Iran 1.4 billion dollars on his way out the door.
Until Trump has cost the taxpayers that much in security details I don't see any reason to bitch.

That happens with every POTUS. Right now, the SS is having to protect the WH, Mar-a-Lago, Camp David (which he's never going to use because he thinks that he's too good for it) and Trump Tower. It's absurd, particularly considering that local governments are having to fund the security for Mar-a-Lago and Trump Tower.
All of you fricks who are normally anti-tax seem to be perfectly ok with taxes going toward this shite though.

Necessary expense.
They can't just liquidate all property and then scramble to find a place to live when they leave the White House. Well, they could, but it would create its own set of issues.
And there are just too many psychos out there. Every Presidential family needs a high level of security.

We pay to protect the President, his family and his assets and we all knew that no matter who we were electing President. It is what it is. Even when Obama was President, we still paid to protect his empty Chicago house year round when he never visited at all.
All in all, the sum total of the costs of this is a drop in the bucket of the federal government expenses. It isn't even a blip on the radar.

He's the son of the President of the United States of America and someone we have to make sure is in perfect health, physically and emotionally lest the President becomes distracted by any issues with him.

Not even the most fiscally conservative republicans in Congress has made a big stink about this at all during the last 3 decades from Clinton to Trump.
It's a necessary expense as its a consequence of POTUS being the most powerful politician on Earth.
You don't like it? Well, then make the presidency less powerful or vote for candidates with small families, are single and/or childless couples, with all of them having being poor as hell and having very few if any assets and properties.
