I think Colbert was way out of line. Whatever. I'm surprised he won't face sanctions for saying that on network television. That's still regulated by the FCC (unlike cable and streaming services).

I think that gives Colbert way too much credit. I think it was a Michael Richards moment, only he won't be held accountable because it was a verbal assault against a Republican and especially Trump
