Is this something that is even possible to pass during the Trump presidency?

In Missouri we just passed one for the state and I know many other states have one or are in the process. Maybe it's something just best left at the state level?

Interested in hearing other people's thoughts.

I think it will happen before the next federal election.

Will this include a national database of registered voters? I.E. if you move from one state to another (or one voting district to another) your voter registration is automatically purged from your former state/district.

That would seem to be a logical idea if a federal voter ID law were to be enacted.

Democrats keep telling us minorities are too stupid to fill out a registration form.

For that reason, it will never happen.

The Dem's have no clue how racist they truly are when they proclaim this.

Don't know why anyone would be against it.

Require it for all welfare benefits, and you'll see how "impossible" it is for them to get one.

Why have a national registry? Let the states handle it. A national voter registry could get going down the slippery slope pretty quick. No thanks.

Why not? The fed voter ID would cover any state issues.

A slipperier slope than people voting multiple times..election officials turning a blind eye to fraud..non citizens voting, etc?

What slope are you worried about?

It was passed way back in 2006, but never fully enacted. Google "Real ID Act" and discover what needs to be fully enacted .
