Blasts him on his plan to avoid conflict of interest.
quote:

Shaub praised Rex Tillerson, Trump's pick for secretary of state, for an ethics plan he called a "sterling model" for other Cabinet picks, as well as for Trump.

quote:

he director of the Office of Government Ethics is blasting President-elect Donald Trump's plan to avoid conflicts of interest as "wholly inadequate..."This is not a blind trust," he said. "It's not even close. "

quote:

"Common sense dictates that a president can, of course, have very real conflicts of interest," he said, adding that "potential for corruption only grows with the increase of power."

It's easy to sell stocks, which is what Tillerson has said he will do.

You can't just unload billions worth of real estate around the world.

You can dismiss anyone who claims Trump should put his holdings in a blind trust as an idiot who has no idea what they are talking about.

He could put the properties in a trust managed by a professiomal with the aim of selling them off in an orderly manner over a period of time. But that would necessitate the designated trustee knowing how heavily those properties arre leveraged and to whom, so its not gonna hapoen.

Oh, so an appointee of obama "blasts" Trump while speaking at the BROOKINGS Institution.

Boy that is some real fricking news right there.

Stocks are sold anonymously at set prices. Real Estate is not. Its value is subjective and ownership well publicized.

What would you say if a foreign national made an offer to buy a Trump property at above market
rate?

Now, people buy real estate at above market rate all the time, but there would be major criticism if this were to happen.

Every transaction would be news. It's not workable.

I will give a shite when Shaub shows me where the President/VP are subject to COI laws.

Tillerson owns a shitton of stock, easily segregated or liquidated.

Trump owns a brand and a shitton of real estate - the opposite of easy.

His lawyer explained it.

The blind trust stuff is stupid as the lawyer explained. He cannot unknown there are hotels under his name. They are going to make hay about this no matter what he does, voters will not care. What he explained yesterday seems reasonable given his business.

"Office of Government Ethics"

An entire office based upon an oxymoron.

First clean up Congress, then let's worry about DJT.
