I decided I'd try again because I was out of the loop sportswise
Then I saw Obama was scheduled to give a speech on ESPN and I haven't gone back since.

ESPN used to be an acronym for "Entertainment and Sports Network". The network abandoned that moniker long ago, however. Now "ESPN" stands on its own as a moniker and the network says that it is no longer an acronym but rather the full and proper name for the network.

I can't stop watching college football and some men's basketball and women's softball on ESPN.
Other than that, I've been boycotting ESPN for years. Quality of life has been fine without it.
