It was a 13-member U.S. Marshals Task force that located and arrested him in that field. They were not operating off a citizen's tip. They then turned him over to the Pennsylvania State Police 20 minutes later, holding off handcuffing him so that the PSP could put the slain trooper's cuffs on him. Frein was then driven away in the slain officer's cruiser. Had the PSP found him would he have been roughed up? Perhaps. But since only the Feds were present when he was apprehended, and because there's no way the PSP would have assaulted him in the presence of the Feds (who work for Holder), I have no reason to believe the SOB didn't already have the injuries at the time he was discovered.

I'm almost certain that EF was resisting arrest by by flight and ran into a tree, like Glen in Raising Arizona.
This guy laid in wait and shot these two troopers from a distance (I dont know how far). frick this guy. I'd like to hope that the cops beat the ever living dogshit out of him, but it looks like resisting arrest to me. He'll get his day in court.

Think about it guys, even if he was surrendering you don't know if this guy has a bomb on him or what. He's going to be escorted to the ground with a purposes and multiples hands and knees are going to be all over his body unless he proned himself out. The scrape to the nose and forehead is pretty consistent with a scrape with the ground, not punches.

Funny you should say that :
The arresting Task Force officer - "I proned him out. Identified myself, told him to get on the ground. He proned out."

What do you find troublesome?

What I find troublesome---even though I understand the emotions of the police, it troubles me that one might have assaulted him when he surrendered. They're supposed to be law enforcers, not law breakers.

So you assume something based on nothing but your opinion/bias?
I will say this again, has the POS even alleged abuse?

I'm glad you noticed that I used the word "might". I did so for good reason.

Yet you are troubled. Nice crawfishing there.

Yes I am troubled at the thought that this might have happened. So what...half of what is posted and discussed on this board is conjecture and speculation about scandals, politicians, etc.

never have a fugitive look at you
Can somebody interpret this article for me? Like, in terms of whether cops were the but for cause of the cuts? ? ? ?

thanks for the article--glad to see it addressed, and I was right in my feeling that nose didn't brush up against a tree limb. I'm guessing it brushed up against a fast moving BOOT to the face.

Apparently the cop was having an affair with Frein's family member and they had been having problems before the shooting.

I have relatives who live in this very area and I had heard that and asked them about it and they said it wasn't true....but I wonder....interesting rumor...
