The SEC makes them release the data. They have 128K in the bank after all these years. They need 376M to start building cars.
When they first got help from the Caddo Commission I thought 'if all the banks in Michigan turned them down there might be a reason.'

Do you know if the Elio limbo for all these years has kept any other "shovel ready" plans for the old GM plant from going forward? If so someone should go to jail.
The Caddo Commission seems like the biggest bunch of dumbasses ever assembled.

A real automaker wanted to use the plant but couldn't because of Elio.

According to former Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, Land Rover had an interest in bringing a production facility into the former plant.
The Caddo Commission had purchased the property for $7.5 million. The commission then handed responsibility for the plant over to the Caddo Industrial Development Board. From there the IDB leased the facility to a company called Industrial Realty Group based out of California. Through that lease, IRG got autonomy over businesses who could set up shop in the GM plant. IRG leased the facility to Elio. IRG's president Stu Lichter is a board member for Elio Motors.
According to Glover, when Land Rover had interest in the plant, Lichter told them they would need to pay millions and millions of dollars to help relocate Elio's operations into the former AT&T plant in South Shreveport. Land Rover moved on.

And the voters are starting to realize it. All 5 of their tax renewals were defeated Saturday.
