This may well be true.
But the last time one of these happened and they said that, we ended up seeing video of a driver executing a perfect U turn into a crowd when we were told this driver was simply an intoxicated driver.
Let's be honest here. It takes them forever to admit was an extremist when it's OBVIOUS it was one. They're going to avoid admitting it 100% of the time when it's possible.

Yeah the USA never has people driving under the influence because of drugs being illegal.

The car doesn't really fit the bill for an attack either, normally they get a big truck for more damage. I'm guessing this was a drunk or a heart attack or a seizure or something.

You criticize them for lax drug policies but start it out saying what it probably was, a drunk (you can by alcohol in the US btw).

Reports say it wasn't terrorism but at this point I don't believe authorities until there's a photo of the driver.
