Carroll contradicts herself with the first kid. Supposedly happened when he was about 7-1/2-8 but was taken away from his parents at 6 and given to a rich couple. If this was even close to being true back in 60’s or 50’s then the kid would not have been associating with E Carroll anymore as lifestyle of rich did not mix at all with poor people

The judgment wasn’t liable for rape, it was liable for defamation because he said she lied about the rape.
How one can defame someone by saying they are lying and reasonable prove it is another matter.
