we're essentially the only civilized country on earth who isnt actively moving towards clean energy, and trumps plan is for the US to go all in to dominate the export of dirty energy.
Congratulations. That's the most ignorant statement I've read this month

the fact that he's actively building the coal industry back up tells you exactly where he stands on clean energy.
Something tells me you have no idea what clean energy is and you have no idea how the world actually uses energy

Nothing more dirty than those nickel hydride batteries you global warmist nuts love.

what is the global trend? where are things heading? is loading up on a dying industry a smart thing or a dumb thing?
The oil industry will lap up the story. After all, the IEA says that India, which currently consumes less energy per person than Africa, will become the engine of global growth in oil demand by the mid-2020s as its economy grows and its population becomes the biggest in the world.
pretending is fun!
China, too, will keep rigs drilling across the globe. Over the past decade it has accounted for 60% of the world’s growth in oil consumption, helping to push up prices until they collapsed in 2014. Though Chinese growth will slow and the oil intensity of both China’s and India’s economy will decline, the IEA, in forecasts that assume the 2ºC global-warming target will not be met, reckons that by 2040 China will consume 4.1m b/d more than it does now, and India 6m b/d.
meanwhile over there in europeland where the european's live they're bracing for rolling blackouts
Britain may have to rely on costly emergency measures to keep the lights on this winter after spare capacity in the power market fell to the lowest level on record.
Power stations operating under normal market conditions will produce barely enough electricity to meet peak demand following a series of coal plant closures, National Grid analysis shows.
The "spare margin" between peak electricity demand and the supplies likely to be available in the market has fallen to just 0.1pc, the lowest on record.
muh windmills!
like it or not moron we're gonna have coal, nat gas and oil for a long time. whether you like it or not.

Man, for all your talk of escaping your white middle class family, and opening your mind, you really need to read a book or some shite.
Natural gas is incredibly clean, abundant, and cheap. Obama and other liberals have looked at it as a bridge fuel to other alternatives. It's a vastly different energy source from coal as it relates to environmental impact.

Fact: people will stop using coal and oil when there is no more coal and oil left.
the global growth rate of solar energy jumped by 50 percent last year, btw. just because dullards in Louisiana are too scared to change doesn't mean the civilized world is.

You've gotten your arse handed to you in this thread. You're just too stupid to know it.
Necessity is the mother of all invention. All of the coal and natural gas will be used. Technology will roll along and they'll eventually harnass something else. We don't have to go back to the 18th century technologies like progressives want. You people would have everyone riding bicycles.

quote:its methane, which produces less carbon dioxide than coal, but traps more heat in the atmosphere. and we use fracking to get it, which poisons the water supply and contributes to a thousand other environmental disasters. simply getting the gas is part of the reason were having more earthquakes, according to the USGS...
Natural gas is incredibly clean, abundant, and cheap.
"Wastewater disposal is the primary cause of the recent increase in earthquakes in the central United States."
"Most wastewater currently disposed of across the nation is generated and produced in the process of oil and gas extraction."
think of this the next time you hear that humans are too small and insignificant to change the planet.

last year solar accounted for 305 GigaWatts of the amount of electricity produced. the amount of electricity the world consumed in 2013 was 16,503 TerraWatts.
that's .0000184 percent of the worlds electricity consumption.
and it did increase 50% last year.....from nothing to next to nothing.
congratulations son!.......you're still an idiot!

thats the result of all your genius thinking. complete failure on every scale.
rest assured, the last thing i want is for this board to agree with me.

When you have to cherry pick a post to make your point your point sucks. No the worst people in Louisiana were the ones who negotiated away our wealth for political gain.
