As reported on this site - "Is This The NCAA Sending A Warning To The ACC, Big 12 and SEC?"
quote:

NCAA medical advisors met with the media on Thursday morning and appeared to send a cautious warning to those conferences currently scheduled to play: ACC, BIG 12 and SEC...

Dr. Carlos Del Rio, Infectious Diseases Society of America, during a media zoom briefing w/ other NCAA medical advisors on COVID-19 and college football:
"I feel like we have hit the iceberg, and we are making decisions about when we should have the band play. Controlling the pandemic is what we should focus on."

On the same call, Brian Hainline, NCAA's chief medical officer, says they are aware of 12 cases of myocarditis in athletes (an inflammation of the heart).

Dr. Colleen Kraft answered: "I think one case of myocarditis in an athlete is too many. We're playing with fire."

Don't fall for this bullshite, SEC/ACC/B12.

This is from a paper published in the American College of Cardiology Journal in 2018 by Nishant Shan, MD, FACC; Dermot M. Phelan BAO, MB BCh, FACC -

Myocarditis is a non-ischemic inflammatory heart muscle disease that can result in cardiac dysfunction and arrhythmias. The incidence rate of Myocarditis in athletes ranges between 0.5% to 4%.

So the NCAA is aware of 12 cases of Myocarditis, and the politi-doctors are freaked out about that, even though that number infers an incidence rate below the lower end of the baseline reported in the ACC Journal back when COVID-19 was still only a liberal's wet dream.

The SEC, ACC and Big 12 need to play football. Those conferences will be richly rewarded for doing so in many ways, and for a long time.

frick the PAC and Big 10 (coming from a fan of ASU and alum of Purdue).

Who knows, but they found their way on an NCAA conference call to discuss COVID and playing football this fall.

This is the new drumbeat of the virus pumpers - muh heart damage. People are calling BS on the outright danger of the virus itself so these chodes are now pulling out the hidden danger card. I hate these c***suckers, I meant I hate them with every fiber of my being.

And from the bio of the president of their board of directors:

After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Medicine, Dr. File became an intern and Resident in Internal Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He continued his studies as a Fellow in Infectious Diseases and earned his MSc in Medical Microbiology at Ohio State University.

Where does this come from?

Or are they saying all these athletes that have tested positive are now getting this heart problem?

Well, the NFL’s chief medical officer is a Mississippi State grad so you may be on to something.

Tulane’s Sports Medicine’s Dr. Greg Stewart, chairman of the American Athletic Conference’s COVID-19 medical advisory panel, says college football can proceed safely.

Yes, I think the WOKE thing to do is to force these conferences to give up and cry uncle. If that happens then they need to do the same for the NFL. And then the networks can suffer from the loss of advertising dollars which are huge. But all you people can't watch any reruns of former glory. And that includes any team that had a 15-0 record last year. You must resist the networks and ESPN.

Not new at all. Been written about as it relates to athletes in medical journals for years, and afflicts 0.5%-4% of athletes.
