Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. made this claim at a real estate conference in New York in 2008, saying “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets.” Donald Trump Jr. added, “we see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

Russia is a convenient bogeyman for Democrats who have nothing left to run on anymore. This whole theory of Russia-Trump connections is a dead end witch hunt. They know it, but they'll drag it on for political expediency and any chance to delegitimize the President.
