Does the PT Board realize the GOP fight in the House is about how to spend money?

The battle is between single subject spending bills or continuing resolutions.

If you are for more fugal spending, spending on government programs that are debated, amended and voted into law where your congressman is put on record, then you want single subject appropriation bills.

If you want to allow our congressmen to continue to hide their votes for profligate spending and blowing up the federal deficit with no legislative justification then you are for business as usual, continuing resolutions.

Choose wisely.

EVERY bill should be a single subject. It won't ever happen because then we will see where the politicians' true loyalties are...

The fight is over how the money is spent, specifically to thwart accountability. Everything else is chaff and countermeasures.

Sounds great. I'm all for it.

But it really doesn't matter what the fight is really about, it shows ineffectual leadership and a divided front. The average American voter will pay more attention to the fact that when the Republicans own the House, it's a shitshow than about Gaetz's reasons.

“Conservatives” here, aka bots, apparently aren’t conservative and want opposite of Gaetz.

Apparently, you do not realize it is actually about how much the congressmen can scam.

You are correct, sir.

People that think this ends well need to try and see how others are going to interpret this. The republicans own this mess and all accompanying problems that stem from it. The longer this drags on the bigger mess it becomes. Elect another speaker that is establishment and there was zero point to taking out McCarthy. It was all for show. Elect someone that is MAGA and you'll get major pushback from the purple states come election time because of how polarizing the movement is. This is where the republicans now find themselves.
