Are non profit organizations mandated to release information and data under the Freedom of Information Act as a condition of their non taxable status and whatever other benefits are received due to the non profit status?

In a short answer, yes.

If your nonprofit is a “public body,” then yes! Nonprofits that qualify as a “public body” are subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Congress created FOIA to ensure that “public business is performed in an open and public manner … [making] it possible for citizens, or their representatives, to learn and report fully the activities of their public officials at a minimum cost or delay to the persons seeking access to public documents or meetings.”

So FOIA would apply to BLM, NAACP and LSU Tiger Foundation?

The answer depends on the state and the business conducted by the nonprofit. If a nonprofit was established by a government or an agency of government and was tasked with scope of a public nature or interest, then yes...subject to a state's public interest/records law.
Same applies to fed law. The Feds have carved out a lot of exceptions for themselves.

I am referring to Louisiana non profit associations such as industry specific groups, not politically agenda driven groups like Tea Party, BLM, abortion issue etc.
Would the receipt of any state funds affect their subjection to the FOIA?

I don't know but I will say as a reminder that many states have FOIA laws that probably mirror the Fed FOIA.
