They are. They are there to take the alien criminals off the hands of the state. This act of justice is being obstructed. Why do you support criminals and their blatant crimes? Seems very anti American.

So why did AZ get shot down during Obama admin when their citizens voted on a law to have tougher stance on illegals crossing their southern state border which also happens to be the US border to Mexico?

Because the courts ruled that immigration is solely the responsibility of the federal govt, not the states. This supports my assertion that immigration is solely a federal issue.

Then they should handle it solely by themselves.

I have the shocking idea that states should be be able to self determine their own policies that are not in the purview of the federal govt.

Shocking I know.

I support elected leaders of sanctuary cities being put in a federal prison for life.

I think its hilarious you think a person that believes in states rights and limited federal govt is a progressive.

You don't understand states rights. Immigration is an enumerated power given to the Fed. States rights applies to powers not specifically relegated to the fed.

Thats nice.
Who are "they"? A handful of government monkeys disrespecting the voices of the majority of their constitutions? Fascists...straight up!

I would assume that state's have the right to create their own budgets and run their own law enforcement agencies. If they don't want to help they shouldn't have to.

Yep give the money back.

Whether Trump will follow through on all of his proposed immigration reforms remains to be seen. A Trump administration that withholds federal funding – of which Somerville receives $6 million annually – to sanctuary cities will surely do them harm. While federal funding generally makes up only a potion of a city’s budget, cities will feel it most with expenses such as new fire trucks or police cruisers, special education, drug treatment programs, school lunches and other services.

The two largest sanctuary cities in Massachusetts that receive federal funding are Boston, which receives about $250 million annually and Springfield, which, according to the city comptroller’s office, received approximately $83 million in federal revenue last year.

I am curious what part of the constitution binds states to enforce federal law. Any idea?

I agree. They have the right to take over the facility, temporarily, in order to "handle it solely by themselves" and seize the records and the criminal aliens. Don't you agree?

Well I don't live anywhere near a sanctuary city so I should be good. We've have plenty of army surplus vehicles here.
