Do we have to shoot down ANY missile by NK now?

Sorry if I missed this in another NK thread, but we've allowed them to conduct many more missile tests after warning them to stop. I don't think they will waste an attack on Guam as many have said, but if they try to conduct simply another missile test in the future, are we forced to shoot it out the sky because we don't know where it could be headed? Has his Guam threat bought us a free pass to shoot anything that launches now?

No. We are going to take parachute the democrats that lead Detroit over the last 50 years to run the country.

In another 20 years they will be done.

Danger in attempting to shoot it down is that we may miss.

Then the game is up on the deterrent of an mostly untested missile defense system.

I think unless we know it's an attack we won't try to shoot it down. If we try and fail to shoot down a missile that's just going into the middle of the ocean we'll have a lot of egg on our face.

But if I were Trump I'd still give it a shot.

They are now planning to shoot missles 30/40 km off the Guam coast. These will be shot down. There are multiple defenses they would have to pass through.

The tests so far haven't been near any systems that can take them out. And we haven't mobilized any to my knowledge. So further tests could still happen.

I'm hoping we surround the peninsula with our shite and their next middle does t make it off the pad.

You have to assume at this point, given the gross lack of intelligence w seem to have concerning the capability, that they are headed our way. We must shoot them down if we can.

Rather miss and get that answer on a test than when it matters. A miss generates data and tells a story that can lead to improvements. A miss in a real word situation leads to... well...

Y'all actually think we have not tested our defense system? We have shot our own missiles down before to test the system. It works

Actually I think we missed most but lied to the public about that to keep Israel out of the war.

I've had one too many beers, but are you saying that firing on Guam means nothing other than being a test?

Ignore my post if I'm misinterpreting it.

There are 160,000 American citizens on Guam, and that doesn't even include the thousands of US military personnel at Andersen AFB, Apra Harbor, US Naval Base Guam, the Ordnance Annex, US Coast Guard Sector Guam, the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station and Joint Force Headquarters-Guam.

I assume that our technology is able to track trajectories to pretty accurately determine where it will land. Although, even if that is the case, I bet there is a margin of error, that would make it more likely to shoot down anyways.

Beyond that, even if we know it's just a test for show, if they start to get a little more arrogant and make a statement by getting it within a certain range, we may want to respond by showing them that's not acceptable.

This feels like a serious game of chess, but with the seriousness being the actual game instead since I doubt even Kim is crazy enough to risk being wiped off the face of the earth.

It's a provocation, not an attack. I have no problem with attempting to shoot down a test missile even if we end up with an egg on our face if it doesn't work

It's a test, we need to figure out if our shite actually works for when shite really hits the fan

Well the last time I checked,

Democrat =/= Minority
Democrats in Detroit =/= Minority

I am guessing you have the racist opinion here.

I saw no racism in the OP's post, just an observation how most major cities run by Democrats are hellholes and are falling apart under corruption, nepotism and patronage.

Rahm Emmanuel or Mitch Landrieu do you?

Not racist to point out the facts.

How many anti-missile-missiles do we have in the region. Hopefully we have enough to take a "shotgun approach" that way we don't miss.

Well I know we have the ground based THAAD systems in South Korea now and I assume we have some Aegis destroyers that are also capable of shooting these down in the region. THAAD is also on Guam.
