DNC lawyers argue that they don't owe anyone a fair process, and that the rules in their charter are basically not binding in court. In fact, if they wanted, DNC attorney Bruce Spiva argued, they could choose their nominee in a smoke-filled back room and it still wouldn't be legally actionable.

True, but they need to proclaim and declare that beforehand. Maybe just go ahead and choose without the voters. Most Democrats would blindly follow them anyway.

If you can't see why it is set up this way (to prevent endless litigation) then there little hope for you.

With that Superdelegate hoax, they basically do.

But, no worries. The typical snowflake is too dumb to know that he/she/it is being duped.

if it was, do you think Trump would've been the RNC's choice? Trump getting the nod shows the RNC listened to the people.

What a load of crap.

Trump wouldn't have been the RNC's choice with any list of candidates.

You can't be serious that the RNC really wanted Trump as the candidate can you?

But unlike the DNC they listened to the people and didn't put a candidate forward just cause it was Their Turn.

Why go through the process if the process is rigged?

Curly Haugland, a Republican National Committee member, says the nomination process is pretty straightforward: The party, not the voters, chooses the nominee.

In an appearance on CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Wednesday morning, Haugland, a North Dakotan and current member of the RNC's Rules Committee, said that any assumption otherwise is misguided.

"That's the problem: The media has created the perception that the voters will decide the nomination," he said. He went on: "Political parties choose their nominee, not the general public, contrary to popular belief."
