So how do we pick and choose which students are too disabled to educate? Some students with disabilities can actually go on to live a productive life after school, even attend college. How will you tell the parent your child is too disabled to spend educational resources on?

Can you name one school that has refused to educate a child for being disabled? You are angry because the christian school would not accept homosexuals or transgendered people. Why can't liberals quit hiding behind their moral superiority and just say what they mean?

She was asked that question and sidestepped the question.

As a hypothetical. You are all outraged over a hypothetical in which she didn't even answer?

Dude.

ETA
The she wants to say it is not a hypothetical. You and I both know it was a hypothetical question about disabled students. The school they were talking about has no problem accepting disabled students. Yet, you, and she, are outraged.

So you are saying conservative Christian school is bad yet tax payers dollars are being spent on black only housing at colleges across the nation. Seems as though special interest groups are forcing their thoughts down others throats but are intolerant of anyone who has opposing views?

Any such school that receives ANY federal funding would find themselves in big trouble if they did so.

Literally by law, if a family showed up and said "our child requires $10M a year in medical assistance from the school" that school would have to accept that child and come up with the money, even if it meant ZERO resources for other students.

That's just not right.

The range of knowledge this woman has about education is limited at best.
Shameful

Devos is an idiot and is out of her element, but she did say there are other federal protections that prevent voucher programs from discriminating. Federal IDEA laws, ADA laws, Title IX, Civil Rights, etc... List goes on.

I saw a woman who is terrible under pressure and doesn't know what she is doing. However, I didn't see here advocate for discrimination. She simply doesn't know how to answer questions. Which is still really really terrible.

I've seen a lot of people who could not answer questions well, or speak well, but were brilliant. not saying she is. I am saying that we need somebody with vision and is willing to try something different, as the status quo clearly is not working.

I could name hundreds. My wife is a special education attorney and sues schools for not properly education children with special needs. Shoving them all in a special education classroom with a gym teacher watching movies on a laptop is not education.

These schools do literally refuse to educate the kids. They simply house them.

Of course we have the masses defending this. However when some minority group seeks some accommodations or whatever at a place that receives federal funds, this place goes bat shite crazy.
