I get these texts. Tons of them lately. And they've pissed me off too.

quote:

The cellphones of many Trump supporters have become inundated with aggressively-worded text messages accusing them of abandoning their president if they don’t fork over cash to Republican groups.

Are they a party or a 419 scam?

This hard sell is off-putting, to say the least.

Not enough to have me vote for Biden or stay home, but they should take heed.

"Please help" and "We need you" are much more pleasant than, "YOU FAILED" and "so disappointed", again, IMHO.

I really don’t understand why they do the sleazy salesman text/email thing. It’s a huge turn off for me too, I’m obviously still voting Trump but it certainly doesn’t help him, semi-intentionally annoying someone every day is just a bad look

Get similar e-mail messages from dccc.org. Not sure why I'm getting them but I stay subscribed to read what current lies they are pushing.

I get at least a dozen emails a day from the Trump team but they all go into the spam folder.

They all do this. Obama started it.

ACT NOW and give 5, 10, or more dollars and win a dinner with Barack...

Trump did it in 2016 and HRC did so as well.

I have tweeted to Trump that while people are struggling with the rona virus and job losses to CUT THIS CRAP OUT.

I told them it was trifling and tacky. Brad was demoted so I thought it would stop...

You have to vote with your wallet. We must be prepared to do whatever it takes.

So, who matches my donation? Is Trump coughing up 5X match on every donation? Or someone else?

I get/got them also. I'd try STOP in reply if you are bothered. A few more will bleed through. I understand they want contributions. I have contributed but then they come back at me a day or two later and it bothers me at times. It never stops. Hence STOP.

I get a lot of these texts also. I just delete them. But, it is kind of getting to be a hassle.

I find that using your finger is a much more ergonomic approach to voting. Wallets are a bit too bulky when trying to push that tiny little button.

Yes you can. Reply "STOP" to the text and you'll receive a new test that states you've opted out.

I finally issued a stop on mine. It is sadly over kill. I don't mind a solicitation once a month and news a few times a month, but whoever decided it was a good idea to spam the phone numbers they collected isn't working in Trump's best interest.

I just mute the text. Then no more alerts.
