Did the Trump victory just save Colbert's late-night career?

He is the current leader in ratings?

LINK

I honestly did not see his show lasting that long.

However, he has at least enough Fodder for the next few years

Will Fallon come back to topple him again?

I think it just proves that liberals are miserable people when they aren't in power. They cope with it by watching Colbert and SNL mock Trump because then they can feel good about themselves.

It's not Republicans that are giving both of these shows a boost. Liberals weren't watching them in the numbers they are now until Trump was elected. When Obama was in office, they clearly didn't watch because they were more content in life. It's interesting how it plays out

In Carson's heyday there were limited programming options, so you couldn't afford to alienate too much of the audience

Now the audience is so fragmented and balkanized that you can "narrowcast" and still succeed

If true, it is either because the market is so fragmented that tiny numbers are "good" or else it is just plain pathetic.

Granted it hasn't been many times, but the little bit I have watched him, my opinion is he was much funnier when he was pretending to be a conservative on CC.
