A foreign government commiting a crime against a private political party can still be considered an attack on our democratic system. Especially in light of every intelligence agency (at least all that investigated this hacking) concluding that the Russians did so in order to harm a particular candidate.

The attack on Sony was not an attack on a Presidential election. How in the world can you be an American and not be concerned that a foreign power actively committed multiple crimes in order to influence an election?

I didn't say I wasn't concerned. I said that when North Korea hacked Sony it was cyber vandalism. Now that it was another private entity...the DNC it is an act of war.

My question is this: for months we were told the emails didn't contain anything incriminating. If that is true, how did the release influence the election?

I have no idea how much these hacks influenced the election. What concerns me most is that the Russian government tried to influence the election. And now we have a President elect whose position is to just ignore this.

...and we are the last damn nation on this planet that has ANY moral authority to condemn Russia for trying to influence an election.

This is the problem in a nutshell. No one is disputing the info, it's the fact that it was exposed to the public that's got the libs upset.

I find it far more concerning for the integrity of a free nation that it's main stream media colluded with one political party to try to insure that they win the election, which was proven in this instance.

I mean sure, a foreign government trying to affect an election is not good, but foreign governments constantly try to interfere to other nations' elections. There is no telling how many time our own intelligence agencies have tried to interfere with other countries elections. But for our own media to try to influence our Presidential election is pretty damn scary.

First...the report said that they tracked civilian and government hackers. It didn't indicate which the two that were successful were. Second...are you upset about the information that was released? Or are you upset it made the democrats look bad? Do you think it influenced the election? I'm just looking for some reason and consistency before I jump on the "war with Russia" train.

You ok with another country violently overthrowing the American government and installing a monarchy? After all, the US would have no moral authority to condemn the coup. We've done it many times.

The US government, like most governments, are highly hypocritical and I have zero problems with that.

My guy didn't win, but I think the booger flicking from the administration about "Russians" is pretty damn funny.

They phished true info from a dumbass that was a part of a private institution, and released it. It's not like the hacked classified info from a secure server, or released doctored mis-information.

It's far more concerning to me that our media was balls deep in bed with one political party, to try and rig the election in their favor. Collusion from within is far scarier that a foreign government releasing some personal email from a private institution.

What's the evidence?

Woh. You keep saying it doesn't make it true. The report never indicates whether it was a Russian civilian or governmental employee that hacked. It also never says there was an attempt to influence the election. It simply says the hacked data was released to the media. Banging the war drum while making gigantic leaps with no evidence is much more disturbing to me than what that report said.
