Not identity politics but real policies.

Trump tax cuts are going to give people more money. Economy is looking better by the day. Consumer confidence is up and American jobs are being created.

What policies do you pimp to combat Trump?
The "he's a racist, bigot, sexual assaulter" scream did not work despite having every advantage on your side.

What do you do? Your party is a national joke at the moment.

To the left, identity politics are the only real policies.

More screaming at the sky events, as well as adding brown pussyhats and pussyhats with an attachable penis option in a variety of colors as to not offend any of their psychotic base. All will be available in a face mask model as well for rioting.

They have plenty of political projects in the works

The tax bill is still not very popular FYI.

And the easy one is healthcare. It was the number one issue cited by voters in the recent Virginia election and it remains the biggest failure of the administration so far policy wise. I expect it will play a fairly heavy role in 2018. As does a referendum on Trump. Which despite what you are saying is not how the collective outcomes of the special elections have played out. Which the trends are not pretty for Republicans right now.

But elections are not monolithic, candidates in different areas will emphasis different things. I would expect Democratic candidates fighting for Republican seats in California for instance to cite the tax bill, health insurance, environmental policy, sexual harassment issues, Trump, Marijuana legalization, a check on Trump cronyism, and Net Neutrality. A person in a safe Democratic seat in Maryland may run on criminal justice reform and Single-Payer.

Working Americans don't like the idea of keeping more of the money they earned?

2020 is a long way away TBH. The better question would of been 2018.

2020 is largely going to come down to the platforms that win favor in the Democratic primary. And that is anyones guess, but given recent history, those areas I said are likely going to be ground covered. Lower elections will play into that but branch off in there own ways.

And just because you spend your time in an echo chamber that tells you things like Wal Mart raising the minimum wage while leaving out that that wage raises were an ongoing thing for years now and they also played off 5,000 people, doesn't mean the rest of the country does.

People perceive the bill is a bill that overwhelmingly benefits the wealthy, that perception is unlikely to change. And its not likely to notably shift a person's tribal allegiance 3 year from now either. Something tells me you didn't vote for Obama in 2012 because he passed 300 billion in tax cuts in the the stimulus? Now the health of the economy? That could definitely be a winning platform for Trump, assuming we don't hit a bump like we did under Bush twice.

We resisted economic growth, a reduction of illegal aliens, and you all should be paying higher taxes for our fanciful utopian society!

It seems like the majority of Americans don't like expensive tax bills that predominately benefit the wealthy. At least thats what the polls seem to say(cue "all polls are fake except Rasmussen polls or the ones that say what we want them to say").

Yeah, you might be allergic to facts, but that won't change them:

Democrats are over-performing by roughly 14% in special elections at the federal and state level in the same races in 2016. Even flipping seats in places like Oklahoma. A lot can change in almost a year, but the trends so far are not looking good for 2018. 2020 is another story.
