Nyt/sienna poll has it 47-39 on the question of whether people want her confirmed now, or wait for winner of election.
Gallup has her at 51-46 people want her confirmed
These are almost double digit swings in FAVOR of her, compared to when she was first nominated. The polling then showed most Americans opposed Trump nominating someone close to election
I think a combo of her being great in her hearings and dems picking shitty things to focus on about her (her adopted kids, her faith, her gender) hurt them

I tried to tell somebody here that one of the few things Americans will pay attention to is a confirmation hearing for a Supreme Court nominee.

And the selection of her effectively disarmed two of their main attack vectors: sexist and racist.
The only thing left to attack is her character and her judicial opinions. The latter is solid. When they attacked the former, they further dug themselves in, as you pointed out.

The blank notepad is for multiple part questions. When someone asks you 3 questions you tend to jump on No. 3 and forget the wording of 1 or 2.
What Amy didn't realize is that 90% of the questions are not questions. They are long 'Trump is Evil' speeches. That's why she kept sipping her Starbuck's coffee. Just to pass the time. Then when the hate speech is over they only ask her the one question so there was no need to take notes.

Don’t overlook anther simply fact. She is attractive. Attractive people, whether it’s fair or not, get treated better.
