I am in favor of ending illegal immigration. However, you guys who think we don't need massive immigration would be in for a rude awakening if you ever got your way. The economics of it are very simple to understand.
Without immigration our population is getting older and the proportion of workers to non-workers is going down - fast! The immigrants are filling the gap. I'll concede that if you could get your way on everything you might be able to make it work by getting rid of the welfare programs and forcing Americans off the dole and into the workforce, but that would only be a temporary fix because we still aren't making babies fast enough.
Of course we should build the wall and end the free-for-all, but it should be replaced with a huge infrastructure of immigrant screening and documentation.

If you put taxpayer dollars back into the wallets of working middle class families, maybe they could afford to have more children. Instead, these people are going broke funding endless wars, illegal immigrants, and entitlement programs.
