The disparity is key. In the "Rising American Electorate" (RAE), 64 percent of those who voted in 2012 said they are "almost certain" to vote again this year. Among voters in the "non-RAE," that number jumps to 79 percent.

That's just their own polling. That's not with the other americans standing up against the ACA etc.

I have full confidence in two things:
(1) The GOP will control congress after the 2014 midterms; and
(2) Once in power, they will shite the bed again.

The media will be working 24/7 to elect the next POTUS, just like they did last time.

It isn't wishful thinking.

The Republicans will destroy all of the candidates who would actually win, like Rand, and nominate someone like Jeb Bush.

I'm willing to put money on that prediction.

literally d

(3) ensure the election of Hillary Clinton

It could go down that way. That might not be too bad: a fully controlled R Congress and a D for president.

Well...they earned it!

But like Delta points out...the Republicans won't do much more than trip over their own feet. Obama will have to be out before anything creative happens.

I would most likely vote for Huntsman but I don't think he's going to run.

I know you guys like Rand - I like him OK, but I don't see him getting through the primary. I think Hillary would do as good a job as any and I would likely vote for her over Bush, Scott Walker, Paul Ryan.

What's your beef with Walker?

I don't think he runs but he can make a solid argument as to being the fiscally responsible candidate.

I don't have a beef with him. I actually started to type (don't know much about him though)...I'd certianly listen to what he had to say. I honestly do like hillary's experience.

What makes you think he would support a fiscally responsible candidate?

Unless the GOP goes with a candidate that isn't of the old guard, 2016 won't be an election, but rather a Clinton coronation.

Hillary proves that you can sleep your way to the top, by having other women do the sleeping.

I have a strange feeling that Hillary is not the shoe in for even the Democratic nomination that everyone seems to automatically assume she is.

And this is not me saying, I think she is a worse choice than who ultimately may get that nomination OR be elected president.
