Jan. 20, the day Trump took office, the federal government had a cash operating balance of $382 billion. On March 8, 2017 the federal government had a cash operating balance of $66 billion. LINK

The Trump administration has burned through $316 Billion in cash in the same Jan 20 through March 8 period of time.

Trump is burning through our cash like a drunken sailor.

So then why is the treasury department saying that debt ceiling will be reached next week?

I'm being serious. The official debt figures show a decrease, but they are also saying that we are going to hit the ceiling next week.

Mnuchin calls for Congress to raise federal debt limit
quote:

Treasury will use a variety of bookkeeping maneuvers to continue to finance government operations, including making interest payments on the national debt. However, the Congressional Budget Office estimated in a report earlier this week that those measures will be exhausted by sometime in the fall.

I'm not spinning anything, jackhole.

The OP said the national debt was reduced by $68 billion in the 1st 50 days. During the same time, the cash balance went down $318 billion.

Do you know how the first number is related to the second?

All business numbers appear in a vacuum. The assets aren't related to the liabilities

That's only ~$680 per household that pays any federal income tax, liberals will say that is nothing.

All those Obozo Regime rejects ripping the cord on their golden parachutes on the way out the door since the new sheriff came to town are burning through the cash.
