Not sure what you mean?
The stores are forced to accept the card via government mandate...but the government provides no means of checking. It would seem to be within technologies ability to have a data base to reference the validity of SS numbers..but the government doesn't want that. It wants welfare leeches to vote for them. Period. So it seems your point is baseless.

That would be the government.

Because the users can't provide for themselves. They don't need a store that charges 3-4 times the amount for a can of soup.
It's not like the profit is higher because it's more expensive. IE Wal-Mart buys cans of soup by the pallet load whereas a convenience store may buy them by the can.
Some of the people (not all) in rural areas don't always have access to transportation to a grocery store, so I have no problem with being able to use it at a convenience store. However, I wish it was limited on the products, such as Red Bull, Monster, gum, and junk food.

As in the store owner had their own EBT card to use or they were running someone else's card.
O.K. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure it was in reference to the customers using the cards.

You guys love to hate on poor folks but never corporations. Keep nut hugging the rich and corporate welfare recipients. Maybe they'll give you a free sample of their products or a menu of where they eat.

You are literally insane. Like Rosie O'Donnell level insane.
How do you get through the day?

Wouldn't that mean the customer brought the card to the store, swiped the card to pay, and then entered the PIN number?

Dead people need protein too..How do you expect their hair and fingernails to keep growing? Lets face it,there aint much else to do when you're dead.

Wrong thread. I think you belong in the "Group think" thread?

What your point again??

How is the clerk at the store to know the person bringing in the EBT card of a dead person? The card carrier must enter a PIN number to use the card.
It seems if someone dies, the government should shut off their food stamp card. Of course they probably rely on the family to report the death to which they do not so they can continue stealing from tax payers.

It's actually the exact opposite. I want zero government but you guys keep voting for the same shite and wonder why nothing changes. Keep believing in fairytales.

I agree. thats why I pointed out the obvious government manipulation of mandating a store accept the card but not providing any means of validating it. Its not much different than the "immigration" problem where E verify is fought against by different levels of government.
*Maybe if the OP would have used quotation marks around "Dead" people*...

Talk about "fairy tales"
How, exactly would "zero government" work? The group with the most force controls things...kind like gangs or cartels??

Make the EBT card a photo ID.
Multiple problems solved.

I agree..but add a data base also. Photo ID are faked all the time.
EDIT:
That being said..how is it that all these underprivileged people can find no problem getting that card..but a photo ID to vote is just too much to expect of them??

Every little bit helps. And apparently there is some sort of data base, to catch all these dead cardholders.
Posted on 1/15/17 at 2:08 pm to FightinTigersDammit
I agree. For some reason, that data base is only used to identify these con artists after the act.
Why do you suppose that is?
