No. I'm going with DC moves at a snail's pace regardless of President. Both Obama and Bush had similar nominees for ambassadorships at the same point in their Presidency. Someone NEEDS to take the cell phone for twitter away from POTUS. POTUS NEEDS to stop seeing what Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade and their guests have to say on things....they are veritable idiots....now, if Ainsley Earhart is saying something, I would pay attention even if it was just her ABC's.
He needs an effective COS in there and give the guy free reign to get the procedural stuff done.....Ambassadorships are essentially pro forma things given to the big donors.

what is ironic is that ambassadorships have a high approval rate. It isn't like the job is that tough.
Some key allies likely get more professional ambassadors. But for places like togo, it is usually a fricking giveaway to big donors, key supporters or people you want to GTFO.

It's a shame really. The guy has some guy ideas and such, but he really can't stop stepping on his own message.
