Yeah, you can't just push everyone to one crappy healthcare and then dump them off it right away.

What are you talking about? Sure you can. Deregulation will provide cheaper and more flexible options immediately. Faster than it takes to say... Create the AHA website.

Yeah lets go back to the times that insurance companies could deem your illness preexisting and there was nothing you could do about it.

Rick come on man. You're smart.

Going to an insurance company after you get cancer and demanding they supplement your cost...is NOT INSURANCE.

That's using the law to force a company to pay you for your irresponsibility.

I can't fathom how people are okay with that.

P.S. I shouldve known you were a liberal.

Which is why it shouldn't be viewed as insurance.
Insurance should be for stuff that might happen. You pay someone so that if something happens, you will have the monetary means to take care of it.

So pre-ACA the government footed the bill for those who qualified.

Now the insurance companirs pass it along to us and the companies we work for, all the while taking less profit.

I think both suck arse, but at least there is an argument to be made for the gov paying for it.

I say the feds should offer catastrophic coverage to those who can't afford it...and that's it.

The can deal with thier own damn cold or stumped toe. Deregulate the industry and put antibiotics OTC. and be done with it.

Really good business man too. Probably learned a lot from his constant failure

Group health insurance has always allowed pre-existing. My wife was 3 months pregnant when I got a new job. Covered. Our son had diabetes when I changed again. Covered.

I had to get an individual policy once. BCBS did put in policy that wife's condition with arm would not be covered for 2 years.

That's all we can hope for. Just demo Obamacare and give us back this and I would be more than happy. Group could offer preexisting options because you have a group that would offset the costs and open enrollment periods. You can't just wait for a catastrophe and then get insurance because no one would buy it.

Eh, be fair. People who get PhDs or go to law school and medical school are likely to be that age without jobs. Some people get a degree, find it didn't suit their life needs and go back for what they need to find a job they want.

A little flexibility in a world where college is required as a minimum for most people is not too much to ask.
