KATC article

My wife is from Lafayette and we keep up with the news. Glad to see the DA is taking this seriously. Cop killers are pure and unredeemable scum.

Fry his arse. Pure evil.

Was he on drugs at the time of the robbery?

By the mercy of our justice system, he’ll probably be on death row for years on automatic appeal. It will not be pleasant though.

Word on the street is that he had mental issues, perhaps schizophrenia. I'm no lawyer, but that might help with an insanity plea.

I don't really get why cop killers are treated any differently than a citizen killer. If you are going to put someone to death for killing a cop, you should do the same for a citizen. No difference in my mind. A human is a human.

I read this in an article the day or two after the shooting. Aparently since he graduated from UL, he's been getting worse and worse. I think his parents had commented on it. I can't remember who it was. But if its true, they'll never put him down.

meh...I get it.

But, If you do not place a higher price on attacking the system that is in place to provide a sense of protection and civil order...then, society tends to break down.

It is NOT that the PERSON is more valuable. The symbol is required to keep people from resorting to mob rule.

I get that, but it still doesn't change my mind. But you have a valid point. I just elieve that they should treat it like they treat any death penalty case.

Yes it will.

Stop pushing the idea that prison is the worst thing ever.

Yea, it sucks more than the outside world, but it isn't the chain gang system of yesteryear.
